Can Cook, Will Cook

Some of our members worked on a Cook Book with the Head Chef at the Station House, Mark Greer. Our trainees Chefs were Kenneth McBride, Luke Kingston, Shaun McCosker, Shaun Bradley, Niamh Sheridan and Claire Doherty. We had great fun making it. You can order a copy online.

See Me By McElhinneys & Donegal Down Syndrome

McElhinneys is proud to present this beautiful book created in conjunction with Donegal Down Syndrome. ‘See Me- One More Chromosome to Love’ is a book created to celebrate the beautiful faces and stories of children and adults in Donegal with Down Syndrome. Each portrait and story, shows that there is far more to each child and adult than their extra chromosome and allows us to celebrate their personalities and individualities.

Supporting this book will allow Donegal Down Syndrome to continue their amazing work, and help fund speech therapy, swimming lessons, music, drama and so much more.

All proceeds from sales of this book will go to Donegal Down Syndrome.

Wild Mountain Way - Donegal On Foot And Alone

For those who don’t know me, my name is Adrian Gallagher, originally from Carrigart and living in Letterkenny, County Donegal since my early adulthood.
In 2019 I undertook a 23-day journey on foot across the mountain ranges of Co. Donegal, from Malin Head in north to Glen Head in the southwest, covering a distance of 400 kilometres and ascending a total height of 20,000 metres during my journey. Initially the purpose of my journey was to improve my fitness as I approached my 70th birthday, but on completion, I decided to use my experience of the journey to write this book, “Wild Mountain Way”, which not only gave me great joy to write, but is also being used to raise much needed monies to aid the charity, Donegal Down Syndrome Association.
The book comprises 176 pages in full colour detailing my journey from start to finish including maps of each section and the history of various locations along the way along with personal anecdotes and insights.
