Speech and Language Therapy

Communication is so important however those with Down Syndrome have delays in this area. It is vital to have the correct intervention to help our registered members. We offer SLT to all our members regardless of age. This service is available countywide and is free to all members. 

Swimming Lessons

Low muscle tone is often a feature of Down Syndrome and this can often result in chest infections. Swimming is a great way to improve muscle tone. We offer private swimming lessons to all registered members. 

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy is so beneficial for all stages of life and we offer subsidised OT sessions for all our registered members. 

Yoga Lessons

Yoga lessons are online for all ages.

Parent Toddler Group

We hold different activities aimed at our younger members. These sessions allow parents to meet and chat in a relaxed environmment.

Parent Link

This is a network for parents to meet for a chat over the phone or in person. Parents supporting each other are the best support system. (We understand each other completely)

neuro Development Therapy

Pauline Hunter provies this non-invasive programme of movements which aims to promote development of the nervous systemand the inhibition of primitive reflexes.

Physio Therapy

Physio Therapy is vital to maintain our physical abilities. We subsidise all PT sessions to our registered members. 

Ability Counts (6+ Exercise Program)

This is a fun and very social program. It’s a place where our members bond and many friendships are created. 

Life-Skills Program (Adults 18+)

We hold courses throughout the year in our premises that help our members develop skills to improve their independence. 

Literacy (Adults 18+)

This is a program that is tailored specifically to each participant. Some members may want to improve their literacy for further education and others may want to learn to read so they can access media online etc.

Music Lessons

Music lessons are open to all members. Please contact the office to discuss the options available.

Dance Lessons

The dance lessons are currently held in Letterkenny on Thursdays. 

Counselling

We have a team of four counsellors covering Donegal. Our counsellors are available for our members and also members of their family.

Behaviour Consultation Support

We work with experts to assist in helping change behaviours when they become challenging.

We are available to attend meetings with family either in school or HSE

Sound Therapy

Sound therapy helps regulate our emotions and reduces stress.
